IT’S GREAT TO SEE YOU HERE.
A little more about me: I was born and spent the first 18 years of my life in Bartlesville, Oklahoma before moving to the Big Apple in 2015 to pursue my undergraduate degree at Columbia University. There I fell in love with all the things which make me who I am today: music, film, journalism, public service, writing, community building, fashion, and so much more.
As a proud Taiwanese-American, I ended up majoring in East Asian Studies and American Studies in college, which is ultimately why I decided I wanted to work abroad someday. After first doing an exchange student program at Cambridge in the UK, I found myself moving to Hong Kong in 2020, where I’m still currently based. Prior to joining the South China Morning Post as the digital features editor at Style magazine, I did another stint overseas at Harper’s Bazaar Singapore — and in my past life I was a news journalist with postings at Reuters in Hong Kong and CNN in Atlanta, Georgia.
While I now focus on covering fashion, style, travel and all things pertaining to luxury, I also have extensive experience in copywriting, copyediting, speaking engagements and general news reporting. I’m an avid reader and writer in my spare time, too, and would be happy to chat about:
- music, movies and TV
- expat living and life abroad
- education
- volunteer work, especially sustainability-related projects
- life as a creative and creative communities
- public service and public speaking
- shopping and retail
- and more…
If any of the above interests you, please do drop me a line and I’d be happy to chat further — in the meantime, feel free to peruse my website for a sneak peek at some of my latest projects. Happy reading!
