Forget power suits… power jumpsuits are where it’s at. These three cover a wide range of styles, so I’ll start with this black tuxedo jumpsuit from Greylin, a polka-dot pajama jumpsuit from Minkpink, and this fuchsia drapery number from Halston. The black tuxedo jumpsuit caught my eye as soon as I saw it up for rent, which is rare since I usually opt for colorful pieces. But the sleek chic look immediately stood out to me, especially since blazer dresses were on trend at the time (honestly when are they not) and I thought a blazer jumpsuit would put a nice spin on the trend. I paired it with pink jewel ombre earrings from Elizabeth Cole.
The polka-dot jumpsuit from Minkpink was a super cheap rental, another one of those versatile items you could easily dress up for down. I opted for down in this photo with my high top sneakers, but could easily have changed into a pair of heels for a night out. The silky material made it as comfortable as pajamas, while the fitted waist and puffy sleeves gave it an elegant touch.
This strapless Halston jumpsuit, with its cape draping over the back, was a really chic number to wear for a night out, and super fun as well. It’s flattering on the bust area while the wide legs afford plenty of room for movement and dancing around. The material was also sturdy and quite warm – good to wear during the winter season.
Next up, a fun little boho romper (deemed the Samurai romper) from Warm. Both a clothing store and an in-house designer label, the clothes Warm carries have always struck me as making fashion feel free and fun-loving. This colorful romper embodies that spirit, being super comfortable and airy to wear in the summer heat, made of a material which truly feels light as air but also of firm fabric. The belt around the waist also helps flatter the figure, and draped sleeves give it some movement more reminiscent of a dress than a romper.
