Instead of updating my older post linked here, I’m starting fresh to give these outfits some love / the spotlight they deserve.

From top to bottom, left to right:

Rainbow striped off-shoulder ruffled gown, pictured at the 29 Rooms pop-up exhibit in Atlanta, Georgia: Caroline Constas

I really feel like this outfit needs no words. Pretty sure I was the most overdressed person at 29 Rooms when I wore this gown to the exhibit, but it was, as it always is, 100% worth it. It’s a once in a lifetime gown with incredibly intricate ruffles draping down to the floor, a HIGH leg slit, a flattering bustier/corset top that fits perfectly off-shoulder and ribbon straps which accentuate your arms. I was honestly privileged just to have worn it in the first place – the stuff of couture dreams.

Rainbow checkered bomber jacket, midi skirt and purse, pictured at CNN World Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia: Tory Burch

This is technically not a rainbow item, but with all the checkered colors it might as well be. Part of what made renting so great is that when I started working and wanted to transition into a more mature wardrobe (with more professional items!), I had plenty of inspiration to draw on and lots of outfits to choose from. I had my eye on all of these items at one point and decided to rent them all as a set. The racetrack pattern went perfectly on the bomber jacket. It was another way to dress my personality at work without truly overdoing it.

Rainbow wrap top and skirt, pictured in Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia: Stine Goya

These two items were so hard to get my hands on that I ended up renting the top one size larger than my usual. While it didn’t fit quite as well as it should, I still have no regrets. The silk material, elegantly draped sleeves and ruffles along the bottom of the skirt made this item as comfortable as pajamas, but as chic as something I could see myself wearing to the club (both as a set and as individual items, for that matter).

Short rainbow dress, pictured at Lung Fu Pao restaurant in Hong Kong: Christopher Kane

I bought this dress for an insanely cheap price thanks to clothing resale hub Vestiaire Collective. I’ve been really into shopping pre-owned these days and I was surprised to find this item in Hong Kong! It’s a fun little number that is totally work-friendly, with a delicate skirt material that helps the rainbow colors shine under any light (worked pretty well with the neon lights here at Lung Fu Pao).

Striped ruffled dress, pictured near Old Fourth Ward in Atlanta, Georgia: Tanya Taylor

Another quasi, semi rainbow item that I thought suited this post well! Tanya Taylor’s super feminine, fun and quirky designs are a fave of mine. The patchwork of this dress is so smart – on one hand, you have a layer of colors being overlaid on top of one another. On the other hand, you have pieces of fabric – ruffles – on top of one another in a sort of double patchwork that makes the dress look like modern art. Not to mention the asymmetric look with the ruffles at the bottom of the skirt.

Ruffled rainbow floral print gown, pictured at Ponce City Market in Atlanta, Georgia: Badgley Mischka

A fun twist on a gown I had worn before, mentioned in a previous post! I love how innovative Badgley Mischka gets with different variations on a singular design, and this dress was a perfect example.
