Alright, buckle up folks!!! To be honest, if I put all the florals I’ve ever worn in one post, that might as well be my whole blog. You’ve seen a lot of florals throughout my site already, but quite a few of these fab outfits haven’t fit in other posts so far, so I’ve included them aaaaaaall here. A word of caution: there might still be more florals in future posts, too 🙂
From top to bottom, left to right:
Navy blue floral maxi dress, pictured in Woodward Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma: Harlyn
This asymmetrical off-shoulder maxi dress from Harlyn was vacation-friendly with a tropical floral print and very comfortable to wear. The silk material made it elegant, though, and I really appreciated the design’s duality here.
Blue floral wrap skirt, pictured in Sai Kung in Hong Kong: AFRM
A vacation-friendly staple, easy to match with a variety of items! You could dress it up with a fancier blouse and heels for brunch with friends or just go with a simple crop top and sandals like I did if you want to be beach ready. AFRM is great for casual chic designs and this wrap skirt was no exception.
Green floral top and multicolored pleated floral skirt, pictured in Old Fourth Ward in Atlanta, Georgia: AMUR
Another beautiful set from AMUR! The matching top and skirt also fooled plenty of people into thinking it was a dress. This is another one of those items I wanted to buy after renting, as the top on its own is such a versatile item (can go with jeans, nice trousers, etc!). And the skirt was seriously so beautiful – a light material which, you guessed it, flew effortlessly in the wind. Plus it cashed in on the pleated skirt trend which was so big at the time, and I also liked how it had an uneven/asymmetrical hem. In this case, the beautiful pink, white and purple floral accents were just the cherry on top. And somehow didn’t complicate the already-crowded color scheme (black, white and green on the skirt).
Pink and lavender floral midi dress, pictured at Loews Midtown Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia: VONE
I’m glad I had a formal dinner to go to just so I could rent this dress. The asymmetrical ruffles on the bottom, detailed floral embroidery, flattering hourglass silhouette and beautiful colors (more pink and lavender for ya!) made this one of my favorite rental items so far. If only I had more events to wear it for!
White silk floral midi dress, pictured at Ponce City Market in Atlanta, Georgia: VONE
You can’t go wrong with a classic white floral dress, but I appreciate how VONE transforms these must-need closet staples into fresh and innovative designs. This silk number was the perfect example, with its ruffled shoulders and asymmetrical hem, fitted waist and bust area. It elevates the classic white florals to a whole new level and is perfect for spring.
White floral maxi dress, pictured near Banqiao New Taipei City Hall in Taiwan: Show Me Your Mumu
A Show Me Your Mumu classic! It also comes in crop top version, which is equally cute and perhaps even more versatile. One thing I like more about the crop top is the ribbon/tied straps over the shoulder, whereas the dress version had two simple straps instead. But there’s no doubt that the maxi dress version, with two leg slits, elevates the simple and again classic white floral design into something a little bit more than casual. Also appreciated the fitted bust top.
Black strapless floral top and maxi skirt, pictured on Lamma Island in Hong Kong: AFRM
Another seamless set that passed for a dress! These AFRM purchases were good finds on their own, since black is a color that go with just about anything, but I loved the pink and white flowers enough to buy the set. I would normally prefer a tube top or something a little more fitting, but the top’s slits and looser fit were definitely more comfortable (again, vacation friendly). The fit worked very well nonetheless, a testament to good material and construction. (It can also be tucked into the skirt if you do want to ensure that tight waist!)
Fuchsia floral dress, pictured at Muchacho in Atlanta, Georgia: Ronny Kobo
This bright and loud maxi dress is at once elegant and casual, vacation-friendly and something I could comfortably wear at home. It was such a versatile piece but had so much personality. It felt like I was draped in some really fun neon-floral curtains, in the best way possible. The bust and fitted waist also made it super flattering, which isn’t always characteristic of maxi dresses!
White floral high-low dress, pictured in Bali, Indonesia: Alexis
I love high-low dresses and skirts, so I was immediately drawn to this Alexis number. There ended up being so much more that I loved about it, though: the deep V neckline, the drawstring waist, and the butterfly sleeves. The bright red and green flowers blended in nicely with the nature of Bali.
Strapless baby blue floral multitiered dress, pictured in Nusa Penida, Indonesia: AMUR
Another one of my favorite rentals – no surprise it’s also from AMUR. When we planned the trip to Nusa Penida, known for its brilliant blue waters and jaw-dropping scenery, I mentally bookmarked this dress for the journey. The multitiered skirt and bustier top made for such a beautifully-fit silhouette, a fun contrast with its cutesy yellow floral pattern. The cutout in the front of the dress also gave it a sexier feel.
Daisy multitiered skirt, pictured at Duddell’s in Hong Kong: AFRM
Daisies and roses are some of the most iconic flowers for good reason. I love how the daisies are splattered across this multitiered skirt, almost giving it an illusion of polka dots if you see the skirt from afar. AFRM really does the most with elevating its patterns and I’m totally here for it!
Pink microfloral halter dress, pictured in Old Fourth Ward in Atlanta, Georgia: Aidan Mattox
I’m a huge fan of microflorals because of all the colors they encompass, as this Aidan Mattox design illustrates wonderfully. But what set this dress apart for me were the features I wouldn’t have noticed before trying on the dress myself – how flattering it was for the figure with the halter neckline, hourglass silhouette, and asymmetrical hem that blossoms at the bottom of the dress.
Floral robe, pictured at West Kowloon Cultural District in Hong Kong: Yumi Kim
One of my favorite labels by an Asian designer, I loved how this kimono doubled as both a robe/cardigan and a dress of its own. The pink floral design is subtle and elegant, and lavender is one of my favorite colors so the accents were much appreciated! I paired with my pink crystal earrings for an outdoor picnic on the lawns, but have also worn it more casually with jeans, a nice lavender skirt, etc.
Microfloral top with sash: AFRM
Loved this casual microfloral item from AFRM, with beautiful little pink flowers which you can’t really see in the picture. The sash and puffy sleeves add an elegant touch to this item, which could easily go with fancy pants, or a jean skirt like I wore.
